I'm a product-focused Full Stack Engineer and love building highly effective and happy engineering teams building great products. I've built many products and teams from scratch and led teams effectively, ensuring an environment where people can do their best work. Currently, I work mostly with Ruby, TypeScript and React Native. However, over my 16 years of experience I've bootstraped startups, delivered enterprise platforms, critical fintech tooling, IoT products, games, and mobile apps. I'm a father to my 2-year-old daughter Ada and in my spare time am an organiser of Bristol JS, photographer, creative coder, hardware hacker and occasional speaker at meetups and conferences.

During my time with the team at Carescribe, I worked alongside the CTO to help define the company's engineering practices, project planning and tracking tools and supported with hiring. Furthermore, I worked on and built many parts of the Carescribe platform. This included the transcribing service, auto-summarisation AI tooling, infrastructure, a note-taking tool, a partner portal, and mobile/browser/desktop applications.
